Are you a fan of the recent live action Disney Beauty and the Beast? Are you excited to see them remake Aladdin, Dumbo, Mulan, Lion King, etc? Or are you one of those cranky people who complain about these changes, the apparent lack of new ideas, or "ruining" of your childhood?

Did you hate the Power Rangers reboot film for being dark and gritty? Did you hear that Netflix has an (amazing) new series called Anne With An E that is also being called "darker / grittier?" Well it's okay, guys. I've seen Anne With An E. Superior television.

Let's talk about why reboots, remakes, and adaptations are not a big crisis and how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.

Absolutely incredible. AmyBeth McNulty is a perfectly cast treasure. All of the cast are stellar in their roles. The story definitely goes darker, but it also provides more depth and realism to the characters while still keeping Anne the endearing, hot-tempered poet we all love. She cannot help but change the lives (and hearts) of the people she meets in sleepy, conservative Prince Edward Island. Remember, Anne may have evolved, but that doesn't erase the old adaptions from existence. It's lovely to find new ways to meet Anne.
